Have you ever wondered what the Queen carries around in her handbag? So have I. It's not like she needs house door keys or is running around the house looking for her phone so what could she possibly need in her bag? Well, our questions have been answered! It turns out she keeps a mirror, a lipstick, a pen, some mint lozenges, reading glasses and on Sundays, s few small bills to give to the church as a donation. However, aparrently she doesn't just have her bag to hold things in, she uses it to send signals to her staff. If the handbag moves from one hand to another, it means she's ready to finish the current conversation. If the handbag gets put on the table at dinner, it means she wants the event to end in the next 5 minutes. If the bag gets put on the floor, it means she's not enjoying the conversation and wants to be rescued by her lady in waiting. The most dramatic gesture is if her ring gets spun around on her finger- this means she wants to be rescued immediately. You would never notice if this happens though, it would be done that discreetly.
