Get Outdoors with your own Pig!

This unique Cooker and heater is ideal for the great outdoors, invented by an Australian couple who love the spirit of adventrue.

The Ozpig, which resembles a small pig on legs, has a specially designed chimney and can be used with the door in either an open position, to provide the enjoyment and ambience of a contained, open fire, or with the door closed (by using the vented door) for a more fuel efficient option for patio and backyard use. In recent years the developers’ passion for cooking kicked in and the unit has been further developed to double as a multi-purpose cooking station to further complement the original heating function.

What's included?

1 x Ozpig Cooker Body

5 x Chimney Sections

1 x Multi Purpose Tool

1 x Mesh Floor Fire Grate

1 x BBQ Plate

1 x Warming Plate

1 x Vinyl Carry Bag

4 x Zinc Coated Legs

The Open Pig This is the traditional set up, which is most commonly used for camping, caravanning and outdoor cooking and heating. The Open Pig configuration uses the 3 piece chimney set with the spark arrestor on top and the door open. This set up is better for warmth and ambience. It draws less heat up the chimney, making it suitable to use under a marquee, tarp or awning, as the spark arrestor prevents sparks and embers escaping from the top. How to use the Open Pig When using the 3 piece chimney with the spark arrestor, make sure you leave the Ozpig door open at all times while in use, as it allows the fire to breath properly. The Open Pig throws out more heat and creates a wonderful ambience, making it the perfect set up for sitting around the fire with family and friends to keep warm.

The Closed Pig This is a new set up; it uses less wood and is perfect for home use. The Closed Pig configuration uses the 5 piece chimney set (without the spark arrestor), allowing you to light the fire and then close the door. The 5 piece chimney is longer than the regular 3 piece chimney, resulting in the smoke escaping higher and further away from you. The Closed Pig most commonly suits home use on the patio or back garden, as the closed door prevents sparks or embers from falling out of the firebox and burning its surroundings. The longer chimney makes sitting around the fire more comfortable as it draws the smoke up and out, minimising the amount of smoke that could blow out in front of you through the Vented Door. How to use the Closed Pig The Vented Door gives you the option to use your Ozpig with the door closed. It has a swivel function, which allows you to control how much oxygen you let into the fire. This means you can slow the burn rate by allowing less oxygen into the fire pit, keeping in mind, this also means the Ozpig will throw out less heat, so be sure to adjust it to suit your preference. When you’re done for the night, simply shut the vents and your fire will burn out.
