The weather has been very wild over the weekend, but warm!

 

It has been revealed that Contactless payments have become more popular than Chip-and-Pin card transactions for the first time in the UK. Payment processing company Worldpay said it happened in June, when 51% of in-store card transactions were contactless, rising to 52% in July. Analysis of the Company's data shows the use of the newer payment methos jumped 30% between June 2017 and June 2018.

 

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex (Harry and Meghan) are expecting their first child. In a statement made by Kensington Palace, they announced that both Meghan and Harry are 'very pleased' with the news. It is belived Meghan is around 12 weeks pregnant, and is due in Spring next year. The baby will be 7th in line to the throne, but will not be a prince or princess, unless the Queen steps in and issues a Letters Patent ahead of the birth.

 

The worst train services for punctuality and cancellations have been identified as part of an analysis or services in the UK. The consumer group 'Which?' found that Manchester Oxford Road has the worst performance, with 68% of its trains late or cancelled since the beginning of the year, and 77% at peak times. Second on the list was York Station, with 65% late or cancelled, and joint third were Birmingham New Street and Gatwick Airport stations, where 60% fail to run to schedule.
